Dear friends and fans, good day and how are you doing today? I wish to use this opportunity to thank you and welcome you back to my popular blog. I am really sorry for my long absence. I was away for two major reasons. First, I was heavily engaged in my primary assignment as a Professor of Policy, Defence and Strategic Studies at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, Nigeria. I have been involved in serious academic research and sundry collaborative ventures with my linkage programme colleagues. Second, I have taken sufficient time off to reassess and re-strategize my blog for better service to humanity.

I really appreciate your text messages, letters, calls and pleas for me to resume my weekly write-ups in my blog. I wish to assure you that I have resumed my write-ups in full force. My main purpose as usual is to lead you to life of abundance of riches and wealth. I will help you to live up to your full potential in all areas of your life. I will show you the secret of personal wealth, happiness and fulfillment. You will discover why some people achieve all their goals while others simply dream of having a better life.

There are two things that I want to share with that will help you to succeed in life, starting from today. Both are important but it is the first one that is most important: 1) Work harder on yourself than you do on your work or business so you can become an attractive individual to work with. Personal development is working on things you’re not good at. How do you communicate to the world is greatly affected by your level of thinking, 2) You have a choice of people you want to surround yourself with. Nobody forced you to spend time with anyone. Learn to dissociate or limit your association with people who aren’t going the same path as you. You should surround yourself with people who are always hustling. It doesn’t matter if it is a job, network marketing, insurance sales, real estate, academics, industry, politics, etc. Be around people who are never contented with their comfort zone. Not only will they motivate you to work harder but you will gain better quality connections.

Before my next write-up, let me leave you with these time-tested and imperishable pieces of advice.
1. Plan while others are playing.
2. Study while others are sleeping.
3. Decide while others are delaying.
4. Prepare while others are day-dreaming.
5. Begin while others are procrastinating.
6. Work while others are wishing.
7. Save while others are wasting.
8. Listen while others are talking.
9. Smile while others frowning.
10. Commend while others are criticizing.
11. Persist while others are quitting.

Stay focused. Till next week, remain blessed.

SET YOUR GOAL FOR 2015 (Success Strategy No.16)

imagesIn less than 15 days from today (16/12/2014), the year 2014 will be over and 2015 will be ushered in. When you reflect back, what have you achieved? Have you been able to achieve up to 50 or 70 or 100 percent of your set goal? Or, is it that you did not set any goal at all for 2014? Too bad, if you did not set any goal last December. Well, you still have a second chance this time around to redeem yourself. I am here to help you set your goal for the incoming year. I am organising an international seminar for African youth on 27th December, 2014 at Owerri, the vibrant capital of Imo State of Nigeria. This is a prelude to a major seminar on science of success philosophy which I have scheduled to hold in Luanda, the capital city of Angola in February, 2015 and another in Gaborone, Botswana in April. I want to summarize hereunder, for those who may not be able to attend the Owerri meeting, the nitty-gritty of goal setting.
Let me start by posing this question: Why do some people achieve all their goals while many others simply dream of having a better life without realising it? The answer is that some people do not really know what they want in life. So, decide today what you really want. Let’s help you by asking the following questions:
1 What is your most important goal in your business or career right now?
2 What is your most important financial goal right now?
3 What is your most important family or relationship goal right now?
4 What is your most important health or fitness goal right now?
5 What is your most important educational goal right now?
6 What is your most important spiritual goal right now?
7 What is your most important social and community goal right now?
8 What price are you ready to pay to realise each of the above goals right now?

If you can answer these questions exhaustively and correctly, the next step is to commit to paper your goals. The very fact that you have committed a goal to paper automatically increases the likelihood that you will achieve that goal. To live a fulfilled life, your life must be in balance and moderation. Thus, you need to have goals in each sector of life so that you will be moving progressively towards objectives that are significant to you at all time. Organise your goals. Once you have all your goals in writing, the next thing is to organise them in order of priority. Select the goals that are more important than others and put them at the top of each list. Your major definite purpose is the one goal, the accomplishment of which will lead to the attainment of many of your other goals. Hence, Napoleon Hill said: “There is one quality which one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it.” Since you become what you think about most of the time, a major definite purpose gives you a focus for every waking moment.
The more you think about your major definite purpose and how to achieve it, the more you activate the Law of Attraction in your life. You immediately begin to attract people, opportunities, ideas, and resources that help you to move faster towards your stated goal. It is on this basis that Dr. John Demartini, the American self-made multimillionaire and consultant on financial and life mastery said that: “If you don’t put a value on money and seek wealth, you most probably won’t receive it. You must seek wealth for it to seek you. If no burning desire for wealth arises within you, no wealth will arise around you. Having definiteness of purpose for acquiring wealth is essential for its acquisition.” It has been said that in life, you get what you focus on. This rule applies to getting a desired new job, building a lucrative business, winning an award, but most importantly to acquiring money, wealth, and a rich lifestyle. You must decide today to be wealthy!

The-Laws-of-AttractionA couple of weeks ago, I organised a very successful seminar on wealth creation in Port Harcourt, the oil city and capital of Rivers State of Nigeria where I explained the nitty- gritty of the Law of Attraction to a group of highly charged intelligentsia. Due to the enormous interest it generated, I want to summarize here for your benefit, this important law of the Mother Nature that serves as an important tool of wealth creation. What is Law of Attraction all about?
The Law of Attraction is regarded by many scholars, human resource experts, and even avatars and mystics to be the most important law of all in explaining both success and failure in life. This law postulates that you are a “living magnet” and that you invariably attract the people and circumstances into your life that harmonise with your dominant thoughts, especially those thoughts that you emotionalize strongly. Bob Proctor, the living legend of the ground- breaking film, The Secret, said: “The Secret is the law of attraction! Everything that’s coming into your life you are attracting into your life. And it’s attracted to you by virtue of the images you’re holding in your mind. It’s what you’re thinking. Whatever is going on in your mind you are attracting to you.”
The Law of Cause and Effect is a corollary of the Law of Attraction. This law says that like attracts like. It says that you inescapably attract into your life the people, ideas, circumstances, and opportunities that are in harmony with your dominant thoughts. Have you seen the way a magnet attracts a piece of iron or iron filings? That is how you attract whatever that is consistent with whatever you are thinking about most of the time. Thus, you are not what you think you are, but what you think, you are. The key point (lesson) here is that you should beware of what you think about most of the time for you will certainly get it. Hence, you should endeavour to think positively most of the time, as negative thinking would equally produce negative and often disastrous consequences.
Your thoughts create your life, and by extension, your world. The more optimistic or convinced you become, the more you will attract the goal into your life. Your thoughts will create a force field of energy that will attract the people, circumstance, ideas, opportunities, and resources that you need to achieve your goals. That is, when you change your thinking about yourself and your possibilities, you will attract into your life the forces necessary to turn those thoughts and ideas into real-life experiences. In 1905, Dr. William James of Harvard University said, “The greatest revolution of my generation is the discovery that individuals, by changing their inner attitudes of mind, can change the outer aspects of their lives.”
Generally, who have drawn wealth into their lives used the law of attraction, whether consciously or unconsciously. They think thoughts of abundance and wealth, and they do not allow any contradictory thoughts to take root in their mind. I want to recommend ten simple, workable rules for attracting the best in your life, as postulated by the late Dr. Norman Vincent Pearle:
1. Formulate and stamp indelibly on your mind a mental picture of yourself as succeeding. Hold this picture tenaciously. Never permit it to fade. Your mind will seek to develop this picture. Never think of yourself as failing; never doubt the reality of the mental image. That is most dangerous, for the mind always tries to complete what it pictures. So always picture “success” no matter how badly things seem to be going at the moment.
2. Whenever a negative thought concerning your personal powers comes to mind, deliberately voice a positive thought to cancel it out.
3. Do not build up obstacles in your imagination. Depreciate every so-called obstacle. Minimize them. Difficulties must be studied and efficiently dealt with to be eliminated, but they must be seen for only what they are. They must not be inflated by fear thoughts.
4. Do not be awestruck by other people and try to copy them. Nobody can be you as efficiently as You can. Remember also that most people, despite their confident appearance and demeanor, are often as scared as you are and as doubtful of themselves.
5. Ten times a day repeat these dynamic words, “If God be for us, who can be against us?”(Romans 8:31). (Stop reading and repeat them NOW slowly and confidently).
6. Get a competent counselor to help you understand why you do what you do. Learn the origin of your inferiority and self-doubt feelings which often begin in childhood. Self-knowledge leads to a cure.
7. Ten times each day practice the following affirmation, repeating it out loud if possible. “I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me”(Philippians 4:13). Repeat those words NOW. That magic statement is the most powerful antidote on earth to inferiority thoughts.
8. Make a true estimate of your own ability, then raise it 10 percent. Do not become egotistical, but develop a wholesome self-respect. Believe in your own God-released powers.
9. Put yourself in God’s hands. To do that simply state, “I am God’s hands.” Then believe you are NOW receiving all the power you need. Feel it flowing into you. Affirm that “the kingdom of God is within you”(Luke 17:21) in the form of adequate power to meet life’s demands.
10. Remind yourself that God is with you and nothing can defeat you. Believe that you now RECEIVE power from Him.
